Why The Mantle Center?

The earth's mantle is the layer just under the crust geologically. It is foundational to our world, yet just out of our sight. National and global statistics tell us there is a better way to attend to American populations before, during, and after the course of disease. Individuals, both healthy and affirmed, know what care delivery model is best for them and their circumstances. It also lies just under the surface of their daily interactions but, if carefully mined and tested, it could lead to a fairer, simpler, more cost-effective healthcare system.

Our Model

Group Therapy
Comm Labs

CommLabs, a core methodology at Mantle Center, is an innovative approach to bridging the gap between science and society, aiming to reflect community voices in research and implementation. The methodology focuses on addressing concerns directly identified by the community, fostering a deeper connection and understanding between research endeavors and the populations they aim to serve.

Young Researchers

It's never too early to be a catalyst for change in your community. We provide introductory research training to high school students as local recreation centers. The Young Researchers learn through lecture and application, practicing the terms and methods learned in the classroom with their peers in the centers. Program goals include new motivations for health and research careers, as well as a generalizable understanding of the impact the participants can have on their communities.

Methodology

Identify Concerns & Target Population: CommLabs starts by identifying a topic of concern and the target population, ensuring a focus on the most pressing issues and relevant communities.
